We wanted to remind everyone that DHS will host Fall Parent Teacher Conferences on Tuesday, October 21, from 4:30 to 6:30. Teachers will be in their classrooms and available to talk to parents/guardians about your student(s) progress thus far this school year. We encourage you to stop in and are looking forward to seeing everyone.
Thanks and Go Bearcats!

We wanted to remind everyone that DHS will be conducting a small reunification practice exercise on Thursday, October 23, at 2:30 p.m. Because the 23rd is a districtwide early release day from school, this practice will not impact most of our students. As of today, we are still looking for more parent volunteers, plus their student(s), to help us practice the reunification process. If you are interested in participating, or if you would like more information, please contact Colby Lynch at 307-358-2940 extension 2145.
Thanks and Go Bearcats!

Douglas High School was placed in Hold from 2:19 pm to 2:29 pm due to due to a student medical issue .
As a precaution, students and staff were asked to remain in their classrooms in order to keep the hallways empty. Classroom learning continued throughout the Hold, and all school operations have returned to normal.
The safety and security of your child is our top priority. We will continue to keep you informed about important concerns at our school. If you need to update the phone numbers or emails that receive our messages from the school notification system, please contact your child’s school.
What is a Hold Action? The Hold Action is used when the hallways in the school need to remain clear. Learn more about the Standard Response Protocol at: https://www.ccsd1.org/page/standard-response-protocol.

This placemat will be presented during our upcoming vetting sessions, where we’ll gather input and feedback from multiple stakeholders that represent not only our district but also our community. All stakeholder insights are essential to shaping our strategic plan, and we encourage your active participation. We cordially invite you to participate in one of these sessions scheduled in the Central Administration boardroom on October 1st or 2nd, 2025.
