The Difference Maker award was launched this year in honor of Kam Hineman and Carter Archuleta’s inspiring Difference Maker moments from last school year. Difference Maker awards are given to DHS students who exhibit student-to-student acts of kindness – a characteristic we are focused on recognizing and rewarding at DHS. Congratulations Wilberth!

Kicking off our second year with Sources of Strength, we had a great first year, and looking forward to seeing the program grow this year.
What is Sources of Strength?
Sources of Strength is a best practice, strength-based, upstream suicide prevention and mental health promotion program that has shown effectiveness in both preventative upstream and intervention outcomes.
It is a strength-based, peer-led, and evidence-based program that empowers students to build resilience, create positive connections, and foster a culture of hope, help, and strength. By focusing on protective factors and healthy coping strategies, we are working together to create a well world and community.
