Summer Camp Opportunities

FREE- Rocky Mountain RYLA- Rotary Youth Leadership Award Camp is for Sophomores & Juniors and takes place over a week in the summer at Estes Park, CO.

University of Wyoming, Summer High School Institute is a 3 week camp in Laramie for Sophomores. 

Dartmouth has a Health Career Institute for a week in the summer in New Hampshire for 9-11th graders.

FREE- The American Legion Auxiliary hosts Girls State in Cheyenne for a week in the summer for juniors.

FREE- The American Legion hosts Boys State in Douglas for a week in the summer for juniors.  

FREE- Questbridge offers scholarships for low income students to college summer programs at Emory, Notre Dame, University of Chicago, Penn, Stanford, and Yale.

$150 Wyoming Game & Fish sponsors CAMP WILD for a week in the summer, for 8th & 9th grade students at the Whiskey Mountain Conservation Camp. Apps due March 15th

$75- University of Wyoming hosts a Health Careers Summer Camp for 8-11th graders for a week in the summer.

Teton Science Schools offers Wilderness Medicine Courses at Kelly Walsh and in Jackson.  They also have several other nature camps including an Art camp.  These are for students in grades 3-11. 

UW offers a 4H Summer Camp and a 4H Horse Camp in Laramie in June.

UW offers a Summer Music Camp in Laramie for a week in June.

UW offers a Summer Engineering Camp for Juniors for a week in June.
UW offers an Energy Summer Institute for Sophomores and Juniors for a week in July.

Wyoming Catholic College hosts a PEAK Summer Camp in Lander in June/July.

LCCC hosts a HOBY Leadership Seminar for Sophomores in Cheyenne in June. The cost is $225.  See a counselor if you are interested in registering for this camp. 

The Service Academies host summer programs. Tuition ranges from $300-550. Admission is competitive, apply early!

BYU has a week long Young Authors Camp in July for aspiring authors ages 14-18.

SDSU has a week long Natural Resources Camp in July for wildlife enthusiasts entering grades 9-12.

Regis University offers Reading Skills and Speed Reading programs for all grade levels and adults.
Washington University offer Summer Experiences for Middle and High School students.
FBI Denver’s 2019 Teen Academies - now accepting applications! Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors will spend an interactive day with Special Agents and Professional Staff, experiencing both classroom and hands-on activities. Applications are due April 15th. Dates are June 12th in Denver, July 13th in Laramie, or August 2nd in Colorado Springs. See links below for application and more information
